Frank Carter is said to join Sex Pistols to play ‘Never Mind The Bollocks’ in its entirety
The punk legends (Paul Cook, Glen Matlock, Steve Jones) will be led by Carter to play a full run through of their iconic album ‘Never Mind The Bollocks’ at London’s Bush Hall. This will take place in two concerts, on 13 August and 14 August to help support the venue to stay open and running.
Tickets will be available on 5 June at 9am BST and can be found here.
In a Rolling Stone interview with Paul Cook, he explained his worries about the venue struggling to stay open:
“This is my local venue. I grew up in Shepherd’s Bush and I still live round here. It would be a real shame to see it disappear and we want to keep it going. So everyone get down to the gig!”
Carter will be playing to replace the Sex Pistols legend John Lydon which is not up to doing the gig with the band.
Also within this interview, Frank Carter speaks about his excitement to be doing this with the band:
“This has been a joy from start to finish. When the Sex Pistols call, you answer. I’m very excited to be a part of it.”
